Pinup Review: Lady V London Elegant Floral Border Tea Dress

Bottom line up front: I recently bought my first Lady V London dress during their massive summer sale and let me tell you, I’d have paid a lot more for this dress had it not been on sale and it would have been worth every penny.

I’m not kidding. And that is coming from someone who has a hard time spending money on herself! I absolutely love this dress and I got a ton of compliments on it while I was out and about today. Lady V London is the definition of high quality as far as I can tell from this first purchase. In fact, I was so impressed by this dress that I’ve already ordered another one in a different style (the Nancy in purple butterfly border if anyone cares to know) and will definitely be purchasing from them again in the future. Now, onto the dress!20884886_10155702148357112_1480848557_n

It’s a beautiful true white color that, surprisingly, doesn’t wash out my practically milk pale skin. The oranges and blues pop incredibly well and the pattern is bold without being overwhelming. The fabric (a poly blend, if memory serves) is incredibly soft and breathable. It also feels sturdy so I’m not worried about snags at all like you sometimes do with soft fabrics like this. The dress also arrived quickly (just about a week) for something coming from the UK and wasn’t wrinkled at all when it came out of the packaging. I didn’t see any kind of loose strings around the seams either, which is always a wonderful sign of quality in my book.

I paired the dress with an orange petticoat from Manfei that I got off Amazon and (despite having a very lazy hair day) an adorable orange hair flower made by Daydream Seeker on Etsy. You could also pair this dress with blue accessories if you wanted but I thought orange would be a little more fun for summer.20916756_10155702148422112_1988148665_n
